Inspired by the one Julie send me I made this cube with some charm pack from Moda fabrics.

they're finished. I loved making them. In my previous post I told you this is a free pattern from purl bee.

My dear friend and owner of 'My Sister Knits' in Fort Collins send me this knitting cube witch I simply love. Is so handy.

This is my after dinner project, you know when we relax and do some quiet knitting by the fire. It's a free pattern from purl bee.

Origami Bag

This little bag is called origami bag and the pattern is free.
Look my cat Sara, like a lisard in the sun warming her body in this february morning in Alentejo.

This journal covers fits a A5 like the others I've made. This two are made with diferent tecniques.

Place mate

I decided to make some place mates. I made two of each.
This pattern you remember it. I had some leftovers and that's what I came up.

double hourglass baby quilt

When I saw the baby quilt that Liz made I wanted to make one too.
I bought the fabric at IKEA in Lisbon. Just click on the picture to see it close. It measures 42"x48".

This pillow measures 17"x17" and the fabric is from IKEA too.

Presépio

Começar o ano com um presépio.... Estou um pouco atrasada ou adiantada, depende do ponto de vista.
Mas não podia deixar de partilhar. Foi montado pela minha irmã mais velha na casa dela.
Está lindo.

E a árvore de Natal, bastante original.

Modern Quilt

This is a lap quilt and the ideia to make this one came when my husband asked me if I can make a modern quilt he intend to offer to a co-worker. So here it is, inspired by one made by Amanda Jean and from a book The Modern Quilt Workshop.

Este baby quilt foi começado nos Estados Unidos. Quando comprei os tecidos eles vinham dobrados em fat quarteres 18"x21" e achei que seria um bom padrão pois tem galinhas e vacas, mas quando comecei a cortar os tecidos vi que não tinha suficiente, então a Tara ofereceu-me o tecido azul e o vermelho. Não ficou muito abebezado.

I began this baby quilt at the workshop and was Amanda Jean who did the maths for piecing.
At the begin I didn't like it very much, I think it's to dark for a baby, but Amanda told me that it will be a wearable quilt and after machine quilting and binding it will be nice. And she was right.

Este lap quilt comecei-o antes de ir aos Estados Unidos, estava quase pronto só faltava "machine quilting" e o debrum.
Gostei como ficou, embora as fotografias não tenham ficado muito boas por causa da sombra das árvores. Ao cantinho pode ver-se a minha gata Sara.
This one was almost done when I went to the States. The photos are not so good, the sun is very low on the horizont and the shadow of the trees made that. In the corner you can see my cat Sara.

Quilter's Retreat

De 4 a 9 de Novembro fiz as malas e fui até Fort Collins, Colorado nos Estados Unidos e participei num workshop de quilting dado pela Amanda Jean do blog crazy mom quilts. Nesta foto podem ver algumas das participantes. Duas delas têm também um blog, a Liz e a Jennifer.

O workshop realizou-se durante o fim de semana, eu fui uns dias antes porque a viagem é longa e a diferença horária (7 horas menos), podem imaginar. Fiquei em casa de um casal amigo, e essa foi a principal razão que me levou a fazer esta viagem.

Aqui podem ver um dos quilts feito pela Amanda.

Uma loja de quilt ou Quilt Shop em Windsor, Co.
É simplesmente de perder a cabeça e os dolares.

Uma sopa de abobora feita pela Tara, a melhor cozinheira de sempre e gerente da estalagem onde ficámos.
Posso dizer que foi uma experiência enriquecedora e guardo para sempre os momentos que passámos juntas.
Espero repetir no próximo ano.

Meias em tricot

Fiz estas meias há 5 anos. Comprei a a lã numa aldeia na Suiça chamada Lachen.
Como podem ver a lã cria estes desenhos fantásticos.

Entretanto fiz mais umas capas para cadernos. Dá-me imenso gozo fazê-las.
E já tive também algumas encomendas. Até aqui não tinha vendido nada porque estava à espera das etiquetas que mandei imprimir em fita de algodão.

This tote bag was made from my husband old jeans, that I save for what ever I remember to do.
So, this is a very large bag, good for the groceries.

Este saco ecológico, foi feito a partir de calças de ganga velhas que eu guardei para um projecto.
É um saco grande, bom para as mercearias.
